Willie Roy Greene (affectionately known as Mutt) was born on March 14, 1959 to the parents of Anthony Roland, Betty Leaks and stepfather Arthur Leaks jr. in Greene County, Georgia. He joined New Springfield Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member.
Willie attended elementary and high school in Greene County. He graduated from Greene County High School in 1977 and afterwards, he attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing his secondary education, he was employed with UPS (United Parcel Service) where he worked for 30 years as a dedicated employee, until his retirement.
Willie later married the love of his life, Josie Harmon, with whom he was blessed with three beautiful children; Kerwin Greene, Brandon Greene and Kimberly Greene. He was the grandson of the late Willie and Annie Greene.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Betty Leaks, his stepfather Arthur Leaks, his sister Lisa Covington (Duncan), his brother Gregory Leaks and grandchildren Katelyn and Khalil Greene and daughters in law Lauren and Kristal Greene.
Willie also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles including Eva Lawrence, Clarence Greene, Franklin Greene, Roland Greene and Reverend Otis Bibbs, along with many loving family members and friends. He will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
