Obituary For Robert Truesdale, Jr.

Robert “Boo” Truesdale, Jr. 74, entered eternal rest Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was the son of the late Amelia T. Perry. He was married to Grace Clyburn Truesdale.

Robert, Jr. was a faithful and dedicated member of Ebenezer A.M.E. Zion Church. He was a member of Sweet Home Lodge #79 and Sweet Home Chapter OES #272.

Robert was educated in the Kershaw County School System. After completing his GED, he graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in the year of 1989.

Robert worked at Grace Bleachery and Springs Mill for many years. His aspirations to own a business began with a logging business, “Big T Logging,” where he was the owner and operator. He pursued other business ventures including managing T & P Supper Club, Hill Top Grill and ended his career with the “The Chicken Shack.” Those left to cherish fond memories are his loving wife, Grace of Kershaw, SC; two daughters, Denise (Tony) Witherspoon of Lancaster, SC and Melissa Truesdale of Camden, SC; one son, Eric (Quasha) Truesdale of Rock Hill, SC; one grandson reared in the home, Quintin Truesdale of Kershaw, SC; four sisters, Freedonia Stockham of Bridgeport, CT, Celia Moore and Hattie Pitts both of Greensboro, NC and Janie Gainey of Newport News, VA; two brothers, Chalmers (Elsie) Truesdale of Long Island, NY and David Green of Greensboro, NC; two Goddaughters, Risa Montgomery and Martha Tyson; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 4:00 pm – Monday, May 2, 2022, at Ebenezer AME Zion Church, 3402 Ebenezer Church Road, Camden, SC with burial in the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends 2:00 -6: 00 pm – Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Stewart Funeral Home.

So Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Truesdale. My husband, Michael and I loved eating at the Chicken Shack and he and his wife Grace even joined a business adventure with us. He will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. May God continued to give you His Peace!!
