LIFE AND LEGACY

Mrs. Sara Ann Sterling Teague was born July 7, 1945, to the parents of Henry G. and Lossie Mae Sterling who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Calhoun County High Training School class of 1964.

She was employed at Regional Medical Center for 35 years as a nurse assistant.

She united in holy matrimony with the late Sylvester Teague Jr. Born into this union was Tyrone Teague of Anniston, AL. and daughter Tracey Teague who preceded her in death.

Sara accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined the Mount Liberty Baptist Church, Central City, AL., where Rev. P. F. Wheeler was pastor. Later, she moved her fellowship to First Baptist Church, East Gadsden, AL., where Rev. Henry A. Sterling is pastor. She loved her church family, and her church family loved her. She fellowshipped there until the Lord called her home on April 28, 2022.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son Tyrone (Lisa) Teague, Anniston, stepchildren, Brian Goodman, Anniston and Brandy Ward, Atlanta, GA. Two grandchildren, Angelica Smith and Michael Garcia, Anniston, AL. Two sisters, Annie (Charles) Turner, Eastaboga, AL. and Juanita Sterling, Oxford, AL. One brother, Rev. Henry H. (Rosa) Sterling, Ashland, AL., and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives, friends and a loving church family.
