Obituary For Henry Gross

Henry Gross was born to the late Horace and Sallie Gross on February 15, 1958 in Louisville, Georgia. He transitioned from this life on April 29, 2022.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pierce Grove Baptist Church with mask and social distancing. Burial will be held in the Pierce Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.

As a young child, Henry attended Booker T. Washington Elementary school in Bartow, Georgia. He attended Jefferson County High School in Louisville, Georgia as a teenager. Henry was committed wholeheartedly and unselfishly to his family. Henry worked on a farm for several years. He most enjoyed working alongside his late father in the construction business as a concrete finisher. Henry took great pride in “running the mower” to keep the family property pristine after his parents health declined.

At an early age, Henry joined the Pierce Grove Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and would often challenge friends and family with his knowledge of the Bible.

Henry loved people and enjoyed conversation about the current events and news of the day. He always had a smile to share and never met a stranger. Henry found peace fishing and sharing his catch with others.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, the late Horace, Sr. and Sallie Gross, one brother, the late Horace Gross, Jr. To cherish fond memories, Henry leaves two brothers, Edward (Juanita) Gross and Louis (Chloe) Gross; two sisters, Mamie Ross and Imogene Butler; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Henry Gross.
