Obituary For Morris Edward "Sonny" Countryman

The funeral services for the late Mr. Morris "Sonny' Countryman of 1019-D East Franklin Street, Sylvester, Georgia, who departed this life on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Mr. Morris Edward Countryman was born on October 26, 1963 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lee “Jack” and Margaret Jackson Countryman. “Sonny”, as he was affectionately known by EVERYONE, was educated in the Worth County Public School System, and graduated from Worth County High School in 1983. In his lifetime, Sonny relocated to North Carolina to live with his niece, Prophetess Veronica Westbrook. He attended City of Majesty Tabernacle of Praise Church in Havelock, North Carolina. After a few years, Sonny moved back to Sylvester, Georgia, to spend his remaining years at home. Sonny gave up this busy walk of life on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. His parents, three sisters, Annie Ruth Countryman, Lorene Farley, Rudell Countryman, two brothers, Henry Countryman, Ralph Countryman, have all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories two nephews, Randy Harris of Sylvester, Georgia, Fred Countryman of Albany, Georgia; a niece, Prophetess Veronica Westbrook; a great nephew, Marquis Rashaad Farley of Albany, Georgia; three great nieces, Keambra Countryman of Albany, Georgia, Chelsea Harris, Jamilliah Jackson, both of Tifton, Georgia; a god-niece, Oversee Pastor Septima Henry-Smith; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

I am so very sorry to hear about Sonny. I thought a lot of him. Every time he saw me he would talk about Chip and how he was doing with the Rams. I will certainly miss him and our talks. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. Jennifer, David, & Chip Cooper
