On the morning of May 2, 2022, Treva Ann Ziglar transitioned peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was born November 9, 1958, to Lois Dalton Hairston and the late Donald Richard Hairston.
She graduated from South Stokes High School in 1977. Treva began her career in Stokes County, serving at the Stokes County Tax Department and the Stokes County Police Department, before going on to serve in the Accounting Department at Hanes Brand for the next 20-plus years. Treva loved her jobs and was very dedicated to each of them. She worked until days before her transition. Her love and talent for baking earned respect from family and friends. As her health declined, she remained in high spirits and kept her infectious sense of humor, a trait many of the family share.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Ray Hairston.
In addition to her loving mother, Treva is survived by her son; Cody Ziglar of Los Angles, CA, two brothers; Rich Hairston (Dane) and Johnny Hairston both of Walnut Cove, NC, sister; Patty Hairston of Madison, NC, who was also her caregiver, her fiancé; James Collins of Mt. Airy, NC, aunt, Norma Duncan (John) of Maryland, uncle, Michael Hairston (Sara) of Brown Summit and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Treva was a loving mother, sister and daughter who took pride in being the rock of the family. She was immensely proud of her son, Cody, her adopted daughter, Jazzmine, loving brothers and sister, as well as her special niece, Nadiah.
