Obituary For Mr. Jaffus L. Haley

Mr. Jaffus L. Haley was born June 4, 1927 in Fayette County, Alabama to Vordie and Romayer Blackburn Haley. Jaffus was a graduate of Richard B. Harrison High School class of 1948 and was a retired insurance agent for Universal Life Insurance Company. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. On Monday May 2, 2022, he passed away at his home at the age of 94. Jaffus was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mrs. Mary Haley, two sons Jaffus Haley Jr. and Arva Haley, a daughter Joyce Douthern, brother Floydel Haley, and a sister Arizona Morris. Jaffus leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Reverend Lawrence Haley of Cordova, Tennessee; Reverend Eric (Sally) Haley of Modesto, California; Reverend Larry (Angela) Haley of Compton, California; two daughters, Sylvia Williams of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Blanche (Jeffrey) Bonner of Los Angeles, California; one sister Mrs. Arvie Conaway of Blytheville, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church,809 East Main Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Rickey Everett is the pastor. Reverend Lawrence Haley will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mhfuneralhomeinc.
