Linda Gilliam McCullough, the daughter of the late Nelson Gilliam Sr and Ossie Mae Gilliam was born in Snow Hill, NC. She transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Mrs. Linda was educated in the Greene County school system then moved to Greensboro in 1966. She was a 1969 graduate of James B. Dudley High School. Immediately after graduation, she briefly attended North Carolina A&T State University and then went on to complete a two-year program at GTCC General Business. She worked diligently in the healthcare field for more than sixteen years and then in customer service before she suffered two aneurysms and a stroke in 2002. After being in a coma for nearly two months, God saw fit to let her live another 20 years. To hear her speak of her experience during those two months was very inspirational for the family. She would always apologize to us for having to go through that experience as she testified to us that she spent that time laying in the lap of Jesus where she continually drank living water from His hands. God allowed her to return to us and gave her a gift to design clothing. She has hundreds maybe even thousands of drawings.

Mrs. Linda was a member of New Jerusalem Cathedral under the leadership of both Bishop Frank M. Williams and now Dr. Kevin A. Williams. She loved to share her faith and belief in Jesus Christ with teenagers from all walks of life. She would come off tough with them sometimes, but they respected her, and, in the end, she would always talk to them about Jesus!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vincent McCullough, two brothers and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her loving memory three daughters: Natachia Smith (Albert), Monique McCullough, and Akisha McCullough all of Greensboro, NC. One sister Evangelist Marjorie Edwards of Farmville, NC. Six grandchildren: Kyambre, Shaquarius, Jaetarius, Jarriet George, and Keilahn. Six great-grands and one special niece very dear to her heart Tammy Gilliam as well as three generations of nieces and nephews.
