Obituary For Cleola Hoyle

On Wednesday, May 4, 2022 our Heavenly Father called Cleola Petty Hoyle to her seat in Heaven.

Cleola was born to Henry and Susie Oates on October 1, 1922. At an early age, she confessed Christ and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where Mission was her ministry. She was active both in church and in her community.

She touched the city of Shelby like no other. No matter who you where, whenever she cooked, you could come eat; if you were in need, she would give; and her prayers rang throughout Bonny Street so loud that those who came near; approached with respect and love for God.

To us, her family, Cleola P. Hoyle was an Exceptional Mother, revered and admired for her Wisdom, Caring Heart, Amazing Cooking, Faith in God, Encouragement and a Life that demonstrated a day-to-day walk with God.

She will be missed by three children, Gail Petty, Virgel Petty (Lori), and Christy Miller (Percy); four grand children Ebony White (Tony), Gerald Joins (ShaRhonda), Syretta Anthony (Silverio), and Jeremiah Miller, Jerome Miller (Jessica), Marcus Miller (Markita), and David Miller; eight great-grandchildren Monique, Roderick, Kiyana, Jonathan, Jazmyne, Tony Jr., Sydney, Gabriel, Ava, Zarius, Isaiah, Marcus, Brooklyn, and David Jr.; three great-great grand children Kamarrion, Kyinn, and Chloe; Demetriua Degree, Terron, Demetrius and Eric; all of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Lutz and Suttle families.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church. The service will be live-streamed starting at 10:45 AM from the Enloe Mortuary Face Book page. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at the Washington Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. JOHN 13:34
