LIFE AND LEGACY

Dexter Keith Edwards was born March 31, 1959, to Sarah Ann Edwards in Gadsden, AL., being the second of six children. Dexter passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Gadsden, AL.

As a young man, he attended Gadsden City school system. Dexter was a kindhearted person who enjoyed life. He loved spending who enjoyed. He loved spending time with his family, laughing and cracking jokes with his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed cooking and watching old movies.

Dexter was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, Yolanda Davis; and sister, Michella Whorton.

He leaves to cherish his memories; a son, Travon Garner of Huntsville, AL.; his siblings, Kelly (Greg, special brother-in-law) Childs of Gadsden, AL; Melissa Lindsey of Athens, AL, Christie (Stephen) Huffman, Patrick Richey, Lakarsha Hill, Thomas (Sandra) Whorton, Sabrina Pruitt, all of Gadsden, AL, Marcus (Monica) Whorton of Dyersburg, TN, Lionel (Michelle) Whorton of Chambersburg, PA, Della Rutledge of Milledgeville, GA, LaSherry (Shondon) Martin and Bridget Garner, both of Huntsville, AL.; a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
