Obituary For Pauline F. McCain

Mrs. Pauline McCain passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2022.

A service honoring her life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Locust Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment: Locust Grove Church Cemetery

Mrs. Pauline Farrar McCain departed this earthly life on May 2, 2022. She was a native of Pittsboro, North Carolina. She was from a family of ten children and was born on June 29, 1926, along with her twin sister Catherine Farrar Williamson who proceeded her in death on May 9, 2020. She was the daughter of Leah Bell Atkins and Jodie Thomas Farrar. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Alonzo McCain on January 18, 2020. She leaves to cherish a life well lived one brother Rev. Anthony Farrar (Diane) of Greensboro, North Carolina as well as a host of many that were honored to call her Mama, Aunt, Grandma, Sister, Neighbor, and most of all Friend. She was the owner and operator of Foust Beauty shop in Greensboro, North Carolina from 1960 until her passing. She was a devout member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Brown Summit, NC. She loved flowers and was a firm believer in education, so she asked that in lieu of an abundance of flowers at her funeral services that on her passing that people donate to the Farrar Atkins Family Scholarship Fund which she founded with her nephew a number of years ago. Once you met Aunt Pauline, you would never forget her. She made everyone feel like she was your aunt, mother, sister, or friend. She loved the Lord, and she loved people, whether that was making fun of you with her quick wit or just telling you the truth.
