I only had the privilege of basking in her vibrant presence the last several years...and too few times, but each moment was always rich with heart and soul goodness...as she and Matt would beam their bright beam around, it was always my delight to affirm what a nourishing light it was...just two souls who were so glad to be together and overflowed their joy so naturally. Words never feel smaller than in moments like this. But I just "had to" offer a few to express my heartful of gratitude for the amazing being known as Dionna whose presence graced my path with such bright light. My most heartfelt prayers continue for Matt, and for her family, and for all who couldn't help but love her and treasure her effervescent presence. (I chose the royal purple candle in honor of her spirit that is all the more free to beam bright and strong far beyond these darker realms...as much as we so wanted to keep her beaming so beautifully with us here.) DeeDee and I became immediate friends in middle school. We bonded over Prince! She had such a warm spirit and beautiful smile. It was such a blessing to talk to her during our last class reunion. My deepest condolences and prayers to the family.

Dionna, my original sister-from-another-mister...This hurts my heart that I will never be able to see you again. I had hoped that, when I shared in the magic of your wedding to Matt, that I would get the opportunity to see you more often, but God had other plans for you! That beautiful voice, bright smile, and all around beautiful soul, brightened our world. All of the lives you have touched were all the better simply because you were a part of it. To Kevin, Des, and Ms. Sara...my love and prayers are with you always! And a special thank you, too, Ms. Sara, for giving me two of the most amazing friends I have EVER HAD!

Our condolences to Kevin, Ms. Sara, Dez, Matt and other family members for the loss of Dionna. She always had that beautiful smile to go along with the winning personality. Praying for continued strength during this time. Marvin & Juanita Norman.

Words escape me! My dear Dee was bigger than life! Our memories will carry us forward, she always had an original idea, a lovely prose, a song to share, a positive message, a profound lesson, a curse word or three if need be, a wonderful meal/dessert or meal/dessert idea! A beautiful smile 😍 A teacher, mother, sister, friend, a trustworthy care giver, animal lover, wonder-full ONE OF A KIND!
