Obituary For Cynthia C. King

Mrs. Cynthia Cornelia King, 62, of Phenix City, AL passed Monday, May 9, 2022 in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. EST, Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Smiths Station, AL with Rev. Jeffery McCauley, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Mrs. Cynthia Cornelia King was born May 5, 1960 in Tuskegee, AL to the late Henry Lee Morgan and J.T. Morgan. Cynthia left this earthly life and entered her eternal rest on Monday, May 9, 2022.

She was employed at Senior Plus Health Care for several years and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Smiths Station, AL where she was a faithful and devoted servant. She was an Assistant Secretary of the Ushers Ministry, Assistant Secretary of Matron Ministry, Assistant Chaplin of Sunday School and she participated on the Matrons Ministry of East Alabama.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Woods; brother, Tommy Lee Clark; a daughter-n-law, Shalome King; two sisters-n-law, Diane King and Brenda Clark; five brothers-n-law, Fred Bailey, Herman King, Jr., Vincet King, Arthur King and Melvin King; father-n-law, Herman King, Sr. and mother-n-law, Carrie King.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving husband of 44 years, Homer "SHUGG" King; three daughters, Latrina (James) Smith, Timnelia (Antonio) Dean and Chasade Bass all of Phenix City, AL; one son, Tarell King of Birmingham, AL; seven sisters, Shurrenda Bailey of Phenix City, AL; Angelia Alston, Lorraine Walker, Linda (Jeffery) Williams all of Columbus, GA; Tina Morgan, Gail Morgan and Regina Morgan all of Phenix City, AL; seven brothers, Lindsey Clark, Napoleon (Melinda) Clark, Rev. Chris (Stella) Clark, Tony Clark, Stanley Morgan, Greg Morgan and Bobby Morgan all of Phenix City, AL; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her "RAP" Shenenia Hoskins and a host of other relatives and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss! Mrs. King and a cousin of mine succumb to the same illness.
