Obituary For Frances Shoffner

Frances Hatchett Shoffner 94, of Greensboro, died surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born on March 22, 1928, in Greensboro, NC, the only child of the late Gladys Hatchett Womble. For 27 years she was happily married to Thomas Shoffner who proceeded her in death in 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Harriett Lewis (O. Douglas) and son Jerome “Phil” Hatchett (Faye), four grandchildren, Douglas LaMont Lewis, Erica Hatchett, Malvea LaDonna Jones (Troy) and Jeravon Allen-Hatchett; and six great grandchildren DeShaun Alexander Lewis, Chelsea Diana Jones, Ta’ler Brielle Lewis, Madison Hatchett, Tristan Dennis Jones and Harper Hatchett; a special cousin Shirley McEachirn; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Reid Memorial CME Church, 1010 Bennet Street, Greensboro, NC.

Visitation with family will be held from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. The service will begin at 12:00 pm.

Burial services have been entrusted with Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, Greensboro, NC.
