Obituary For Johnnie B Faulkner

Mrs. Johnnie B. Faulkner 93, of Gadsden, departed this life on May 7, 2022. Sincere condolences and prayers to family and friends.

LIFE AND LEGACY

Mrs. Johnnie B. Martin Faulkner was born to Harrison and Carrie Whittaker Martin. She confessed Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church.

She was employed at the sewing factory, herbs shop in their home and transit bus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jesse Joseph Faulkner; sister, Mrs. Mary Long; and brother, "Peter" Alexander Martin.

She leaves many memories in our hearts.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three nieces, Ora Long Spaddling, Mary Long Ellis, and Sharon long Binion, all of Tuscaloosa, AL; two nephews, Andrew Long of Birmingham, AL, and Glenn (Lorean) Long of Tuscaloosa, AL; one sister-in-law, Ms. Josephine Faulkner, Mt. Vernon, NY; and a host of great nieces and nephews, great- great- nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

I never met Johnnie B but heard Joe speak of her often - he was on my Board of Directors at ANCHOR and he was such a good hearted gentleman. He spoke of her often and the love showed. I did not know he had passed - I am glad they are together again.
