Obituary For Ronald Harris

Ronald Antonio Harris, known to family and friends as “Ron”, was born on March 13, 1969 in Greensboro, North Carolina to Sandra Harris and Ronald Harris. His life ended quietly on Friday, May 6, 2022.

Ron graduated from Grimsley High School in 1988 and worked in the Transportation department of the City of Greensboro for many years. In addition to his passion for cars and caring for his dogs, he also had a passion for football and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters: Brittany Chavis and Symone Ingram; granddaughters: Aubrey Brim and Dakota Gwynn; grandsons: Tayson Gwynn and Dyanii Ingram; brothers: Danny Harris (Erica) and Shawn Harris (Lissa); aunt: Maxine Harris; uncles: Barry Wadlington and Bernard Harris; cousins: Jerome Wadlington “Toot”, Jerome Wadlington, Jr., and Barry Wheless; nephew: Danny Harris, Jr.; niece: Jada Harris; neighbors: Ronnie and Canzadie Shaffer; best friend: Leon Tisdale; friend: Albert Smith, III; and many other devoted family members and friends.

A Memorial service honoring his life will be held on May 18, 2022 in the Cassie Coote Brown Memorial Chapel at 12 noon.
