Obituary For Vera Hailey

Vera Elaine Reid Hailey was born in Gaston County on April 19, 1964 to the late Horace and Veola Hand Reid. She transitioned on Thursday; May 12, 2022 at Levine Hospice Aldergate, Charlotte, NC.

Funeral will be Saturday; May 21, 2022 at Hood Memorial AME Zion Church at 1:00 p.m. with a hour visitation before the service

Interment: Henry's Chapel Cemetery, Belmont

My heartfelt condolences to the Family of Vera Hailey. Vera and I worked together in years past for First Union National Bank (late 90s) in the Consumer Credit Division. Vera enjoyed her job and was so very thorough in processing every loan I would underwrite. If a loan officer had a client he/she needed a loan package to be sent out at the "last minute and quickly), Vera was my "go to" processor, as I knew I could depend on her making it happen. I can go on and on about Vera's lovely spirit and bright personality. However, I leave the family with the following: FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOM SO EVER BELIEVED IN HIM WOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVER LASTING LIFE. From the first day I met Vera, we talked and became friends. She was the sweetest with a heart of gold. I'm grateful I got to talk to Vera a few weeks ago. To Vera's family I am so glad to have had the pleasure to know Vera when we attended NC Central University... We befriended each other thru her cousin Jeanette who was my college room-mate. Vera was a pleasant, caring and fun loving person. I was so sorry to hear of her passing.
