Obituary For James Bennington

Mr. James William Bennington Age:67 Munford, TN

Guest Book

Jim was a father of 5 children, 2 girls and 3 sons: Shannon, Nicole, Michael, Patrick and William. He is leaving behind his wife of 44 years, Rita and his two brothers, Steve and Wayne. He retired after 20 years in the U.S. Navy. He is a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan and a Memphis Grizzly fan. He enjoyed playing cards, board games and computer games. He really enjoyed homemade lasagna and cinnamon rolls with lots of nuts and raisins. He helped with the Christmas baking of cookies and candies as the taster. He made sure everything was great tasting and ready to be given as gifts. He was a hard worker and did his best each day. He was loved by his wife and kids and will be missed each and every day.

One of my favorite memories is when he would ask us to "man the battlestations" which just meant to watch his health bar and use his potions accordingly in Diablo. He tried to teach us right from wrong, and even though not all stuck some surely did. He will not be forgotten by the ones that loved him - Michael Bennington

I will always remember my father for the love that he had for my mother. I know everything he did was for her and I believed he loved her more than anything. I will truly miss his booming laughter and his love of sports and the Dallas Cowboys that he watched. I regret that I didn't get to vist him before he passed or that he will not get to see his granddaughter grow up. I love him dearly and I know that he will be missed. -Patrick Bennington
