Obituary For Lucy Lawson Ferguson

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Lucy Ferguson of 221 Shealy Street, Apt. 105-B, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 12:15 a.m., will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia, the the Pastor, Reverend Calvin Wells, officiating, and Bishop Eddie Ferguson deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. A TIME TO BE BORN... Mrs. Lucy Ferguson was born on April 14, 1920 in Monroe County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jed and Zeffer Banks.

A TIME TO GROW... Lucy accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of the Zion Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend William Leggett, Sr. Lucy served as the Mother of the Church.

A TIME TO LOVE... Lucy was united in Holy Matrimony with the loves of her life, the late Mr. Lewis Lawson and the late Mr. Jessie Ferguson. They have both preceded her in death. A TIME FOR PEACE.... On May 17, 2022 at her home in Ashburn, Georgia, Lucy’s Lord and Savior granted her complete healing and called her home. A TIME TO EMBRACE... Preceded her in death are her parents, her siblings, William Banks, Leola Foster, her grandchildren, Teresa Green, Larry Ferguson, Jamarcus Banks, and Darrell Ferguson. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Inez Green, Geraldine Lawson, Leon (Abbie) Lawson, all of Ashburn, Georgia, Helen White, Beatrice Lawson, Lezzette (Robert) Stafford, Joan (Joshua) Mitchell, all of Houston, Texas, Willie (Joan) Lawson, Anthony Lawson, both of Brooklyn, New York, Bonnie Hill of Staten Island, New York, Josephine Norman of Jamaica Queens, New York; a sister, Mamie White of Sycamore, Georgia; thirty grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a special friend, Patricia Holmes; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms .Lucy will truly be missed ,it was truly an honor to go visit her on vacations to Ashburn. God has called his Angel, she didn't leave home she went home.
