Obituary For Dorothy Alfredia (Fredia) Williams

Ms. Dorothy Alfredia Williams was born on August 30, 1955, in Gadsden, Al to Bennie Williams and Annie Belle King Williams

She attended Etowah High School, class of 1973, and earned her Associates Degree at Gadsden State Community College in 1975.

Dorothy enjoyed bowling, playing cards, singing, listening to gospel music and cheering for the Auburn Tigers.

She was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Ridgeville Alabama under the leadership of Rev. Jerome Anderson where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She was a faithful member until her health failed her. She was employed at SouthTrust Bank for more than 20 years until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Williams & Annie Belle King Williams and her grandparents: Ollis and Annie Williams, Ora D. and Sarah Adams.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to: her brothers Johnny King and James (Mary) Williams; three sisters Jean (Milton) Lawson, Deborah (John) Malone who served as caregiver and Judith Sandridge; Nieces and Nephews: James King, Jeffrey Gibbs, Spencer Lawson, Lakeith Williams, Sabrenna (Byron) Cathey, Demarcus Burnhart, Milton Lawson Jr. Varencio Williams, Antonio Sandridge, Cythia (Terry) Vincent, Tanya Amalaha, Anthony Taylor, and Alando (Tamala) Thornton, 25 great-nieces and nephews, a host of cousins and other loved ones, Special friends Lessie Mitchell, Carrie Washington, Debra Ransaw, Mims and Horton families, and Patricia Anderson.

Viewing will be Friday, May 27,2021. 12:00p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at West Gadsden Chapel.

Funeral services will be 1 O’clock in the afternoon Saturday, May 28,2022 at Mission Baptist Church. Rev. Scottie Rice, Officiating. Burial Ridgeville Cemetery.
