I met Mrs. Ruth almost 35 years ago,she was like a Mom to me. She was such a beautiful lady, who always told me how good God is. She would always say she won't complain. We would talk once or twice a week and make sure to end our conversation saying we love each other. I will truly miss you Mrs. Ruth. Rest in Peace.

My warm thoughts, prayers and sincere condolences are extended to the loving family of BigMa as we so fondly called her. To know her was to love her warm smile and boy could she cut a rug. I always loved watching her dance because she truly knew how to keep a party going. I recall one of the last videos I saw of her listening to music with her headphones turned up very loud and just enjoying every minute of it. She had a beautiful loving family right by her side always and I know she felt as much love as she gave. BigMa you will be truly missed but you have a left quite a legacy that will live on. Much love to all of the family Pam & Ashley Vaughan

Ms. Ruth (Grandma) welcomed me and my daughter into the family with love, hugs, kisses, stories, and laughter. I no longer had my parents or grandparents so having her meant everything to me. She is indeed a blessing to her family and to mine. Unforgettable, that's who she is. ~ April Battle (Haines)

Mrs. Ruth has been a constant in my life since high school. I could always count on her being there when I visited Tonja. She always had a smile, a laugh, a kiss, a hug, a song, and a "I love you baby!" for you whenever you saw her. She left a legacy of love for her family and to all those who loved her. I was blessed to know her. No matter what was going on, she would always ask LaTonja how her 2 friends were- the one with the husband and the one with the son. How I will miss you Mrs. Ruth aka BigMa! May you have a joyous rest in the arms of the Lord. You have earned it. Well done. Love you, Juletta "The One with the Son"
