OPELOUSAS – Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Greater Live Oak Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Amanda Cains, affectionately known by her family and friends as “Mae Mae”, 54, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Pastor Jason Rubin, Sr., Pastor of Greater Live Oak Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Cains’ memories are being cherished by: her husband, Joseph Herman Cains of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Jerritt Cains and Jeraud Cains, both of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Dennis Clark (Linda) of Jeanerette, LA; one sister, Pamela Kennerson of Lafayette, LA; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Dennis Kennerson, Sr. and Mary C. Livings; one brother, Chester Livings; and maternal grandparent, Georgeann B. Clark.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Greater Live Oak Baptist Church.
