Mildred (Stone) Sneed was born on January 17, 1936 to the late Sam and Luella Stone in Augusta, Georgia. She is the2nd oldest of 11 children and is preceded in death by her siblings, Louise, Margaret, Lynda, Sam Jr., Lige, Johnny and James. She attended high school and graduated in Augusta, Georgia and later moved to Miami, Florida where she met and married the love of her life, the late James Sneed. They were blessed with one child James Sneed, Jr. She continued her education in Miami where she became a private RN until she retired in 2001 at the age of 66. Mildred accepted Christ at a very early age and served in the choir singing praises with her angelic voice at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. Once she retired from nursing, she moved to Thomasville, Georgia, where she immediately joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She attended faithfully until she became ill and was unable to drive anymore. On, Friday, May 13, 2022, the Lord called his shining star home, Mildred Stone Sneed. Mildred leaves to cherish her memories, one son James Sneed, Jr., (Thomasville); one daughter-in-law Paulette Sneed; three sisters Eunice Stone of Augusta, GA, Deborah Pollard, (Ricky) of Hephzibah, GA, Glenice Cody, of Decatur, GA; one brother-in-law Kenneth Sneed; two grandsons James Davis (Monique) of Miami, FL, and Arturo Mitchell (Valencia) of Miami, FL; four great grandchildren, a very special niece and nephew and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 3PM at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 5PM-7PM.
