Robert Hayes Jimerson, loving Father and Grandpa, 74 of Bowie, Texas entered Heaven’s gate on May 18, 2022, in Decatur, Texas.

A Memorial Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, May 28th, at 1:00 p.m. at the White Family Funeral Home. (1418 Hwy. 59 N. Bowie, TX 76230)

Robert “Bob” was born April 17, 1948, in Denton, TX to Delphine Joy Hall and Tip Hayes Jimerson, Jr. Robert was a soldier in the Vietnam War who served with honor and dignity proving meritorious in close range combat. He was a very proud man and carried a burden for the down trotten and never quit fighting in his heart. Robert was an accomplished welder, multiskilled, multitalented, and a master fisherman. He had a passion for fast cars, and a need for speed. He also enjoyed building and perfecting his VW Baha Bugs as a past time and spending his days fishing in the ocean. Robert was a truly genuine person with a friendly smile and a contagious laugh. He was a Christian with an everlasting faith in God.

He is preceded in death by his Father Tip Hayes Jimerson, Jr., beloved Mother Delphine Joy Hall, brother Steve Mack Jimerson, cherished granddaughter Erika Alexandra Milton, nephew Brandon Scott Jimerson, and stepson Jeffery Andrew Reed.

Robert is survived by his dearly loved daughter Tonya Hayes Ravy and son in law Eric of Fort Worth, Texas, Stepdaughter Kimberly Renae Reed of Bakersfield, Ca., sister Antonia Gay “Tonie” Jimerson of Bowie, Texas, sister Tanya Lynn Hall and husband Matt of Troup, Texas, Grandchildren Olivia, Khalifah, and Taylore, Aunt Pat Reynolds and husband Calvin of Bowie, Texas, niece Casey Ann Perea of Orange Grove, Texas, niece Jessica Lynn Tate of Troup, Texas, niece Ashley Nicole Aldredge of Troup, Texas. A lifelong connection and friend Peggy Hamilton of Mansfield, La., and Best-Friend and Vietnam Brother Tom Shipp and wife Feli of MN., along with many cousins and close friends.

Robert will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever be loved and cherished by his family and friends.
