OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Jermaud Darryl Mickens, 33, who entered eternal rest on Friday, May 20, 2022 at his residence in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Berthel Lewis, Pastor of Mt. Triumph will be officiating the funeral service.

Jermaud’s memories are being cherished by: his mother, Carla Mickens and his father, Joseph Savoie, both of Opelousas, LA; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Mickens of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Terryl Javon Mickens and Ron Carlo Damon Mickens, both of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Ronica Carlisha Mickens of Opelousas, LA; one nephew, Braylin Sam of Opelousas, LA; and a host of relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Louise Lazard and paternal grandfather; and his maternal great grandparents, Willie Mickens, Sr. and Ella Jackson Mickens.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
