Obituary For Minister Charles Nathaniel White

Minister Charles Nathaniel White was born December 17, 1950 to the late Mr. Dallas Yates and Mrs. Justine White. He grew up and was educated in the public school systems of Holmes and Washington Counties. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Military; serving in the Navy aboard the now decommissioned Air Craft Carrier, the USS Roosevelt. Following his military service, he obtained an AS Degree from FJC in Mechanical Engineering. Charles retired from the Prudential Insurance Company Jacksonville, where he worked for 35 years. In building maintenance as a Commercial HVAC Engineer. Under the leadership of Rev. R.L. Gundy, Pastor of Mt. Sinai MBC, on the 22nd of June 2003, Charles N. White was licensed to preach and spread the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He became Minister Charles N. White. Minister Charles N. White did prison outreach ministry, ministered to the residents at Regis Park Long Term Care Facility, served as Youth Pastor at Mt. Sinai MBC as well as serving on the Ministerial Staff. Minister White also served as the associate Pastor of New Birth Christian Assembly. After years of service to Mt. Sinai MBC, Minister Charles N. White returned to his home church, Mt. Zion AME Southside, where Rev. Tracy McGeathy is Pastor. Minister Charles White served as the Bible Discovery Hour Instructor (Sunday School) up until approximately three weeks prior to his demise. Those he's left behind are: his wife, Nina T. White of 39 years; son, Charles J. (Andrea); granddaughter, Natalie R. White; grandsons, Kayden D. White and Josiah Jenkins; sisters, Icye L. Horton of Lake Wales, FL., Freda Clark of Bonifay, FL and Jackie Brown (Sterling) of DeFuniak Springs, FL; brothers, Glen White (Ann) of Las Vegas, NV and Carl White of Bonifay, FL; brothers in law, Andrew J. Thomas (Odean) and Michael W. Thomas both of Jax, FL.; 18 nieces/nephews and a host of great, great great nieces/nephews and cousins. Celebration of life for Minister Charles N. White will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11:00am at Mt. Sinai MBC located at 2036 Silver Street, Jax, FL 32206. Visitation of friends at the mortuary from 5-8pm Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Sadness is not close to how I feel at this time. I grew up with Charles in Bonifay. I remember being at his Mother's House all the time because Glenn his younger brother was my best Friend. I just found out that Glenn passed last nigh. Mrs Justine White had 2 Sons die days apart. May God Bless the White Family.
