Ruby Faye Forman-Bridges

Ruby Faye Forman Bridges was the third child born to the union of the late Mr. William Sam Forman, Jr., and Mrs. Carrie J. Forman. She was born on July 11, 1944 in Hadrick, St. Clair County Alabama. She accepted Christ at an early age and later joined the Canaan Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Annie Manie, Alabama. She also joined the Christ in Me Church in Pell City, Alabama. On December 23, 1960, she married Thomas Edward Bridges, Sr. Ruby was a devoted mother, homemaker, and an accomplished self-taught seamstress. Throughout her life, she worked in garment factories honing her sewing skills. She created one-of-a-kind Annie Manie designs and completed alterations for countless of individuals needing her services. Through this sewing ministry, she encountered people from all walks of life, sharing her dazzling smile, her selfless love, and her God-given gifts. Many of her customers recognized her humble spirit and her unique talents and became repeat customers spreading the word of her skills and abilities. On Friday, May 27, 2022, the Lord called Ruby Faye home to her Eternal Home. Ruby Faye was preceded in death by her mother and father William Sam and Carrie Forman, two brothers, Randall, and Robert Looney and a granddaughter, Shatara Bridges. She leaves to mourn and cherish her passing a devoted husband Thomas Edward Bridges, Sr. of Annie Manie, Alabama. She leaves seven children, Thomas Edward (Regina) Bridges, Jr., Birmingham, Alabama, Felecia Etta (Ray) Chapman, and Cynthia Denise Bridges of Arlington, Alabama; Timothy Wayne (Dorothy) Bridges of Ragland, Alabama; Joel Anthony Bridges of Atlanta, Georgia, Treldredge Teresa (Willie) Garner of Annie Manie, Alabama and Taurus Lerex Bridges of Detroit, Michigan; two stepsons, Thomas Mostella, Ashville, Alabama and James Daniels of Brantley, Alabama; three brothers, Howard (Emma) Forman, Ashville, Alabama, Joe (Gwen) Forman, Ashville, Alabama, and Thomas Forman, Ashville, Alabama: one sister, Charlotte Looney, Ashville, Alabama; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She also leaves special friends, Theresa Faye Saunders, James and Quiala Ellston, and Meyosha Sawyer who provided comfort and care during her illness.
Public viewing will be 10 a.m.-11 a.m.Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Greater Grace Church Ashville, Al.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Greater Grace Church , Interment: Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Odenville, Al.
