Graveside service for Robert Smith, 68, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL 36801, Apostle James Fears will officiate.

Mr. Smith, who passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born January 2, 1954 in Lee County, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Tayari Leverette; two children, Bo (Dakota) Colon and Tenee’ (Mike) Frazier both of Opelika, AL; mother, Selena Daniel of Opelika, AL; five grandchildren, Joseph Higgin, Jaylen Johnson, Zora Frazier, Xaine Frazier and Maddox Frazier; two sisters, Rosalyn (Maurice) Gilbreath of Opelika, AL and Dorethea (Michael) Davis of Phenix City, AL; seven brothers, Larry Smith, Melvin Smith, John L. Smith all of Daytona Beach, FL, Jamie Smith of Lanett, AL, Elton Smith, Cecil Smith both of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Hamidullah A. (Sabreen) Muwakkil of Decatur, GA; four aunts, Jean Madden, Mary Madden both of Lanett, AL, Virginia Maverick and Annie Mae Smith both of Valley, AL a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
