Obituary For Janie Young Bircher

( March 10, 1949 -- May 21, 2022 )

TYLER -- Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Young Bircher, 73, of Tyler, Texas will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. The service will be held at Dale Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Marshall Johnson serving as eulogist. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mrs. Bircher was born on March 10, 1949 in Tyler Smith County to the parentage of the late Thomas Sr. and Janie Campbell Young. She transitioned on May 21, 2022 at UT Health East Texas, Tyler.

Janie graduated from Emmet J. Scott High School and was a life resident of Smith County. She did catering and was a member of Dale Chapel Baptist Church. Janie served as an usher, sunday school teacher and church treasurer.

Janie is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bircher, two sisters: Mary Young and Helen Young; two brothers: Ben Young and Ozell Young.

Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters: Tammie Roy and Sandra Dews Roy both of Tyler, Texas; three brothers: Thomas Young (Lena), Willie Young (Cynthia), and Rufus Young of Tyler, Texas.;six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
