He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Durant; his siblings, James (JP), Tommie, Leroy, Mary Styles, Cora, Mary Lee, Dorothy, Elousie, Minnie, Lugenia (The Durant Singers of Fort Pierce, FL); daughter, Lakeviya Clark, and special nephew, James "Tony” McCoy.
Precious memories will be shared by his beautiful wife, Alice Durant; his children, Neashella(Kano)Brown, Yolanda Emory, Demetrius Rolle of Fort Pierce, FL and Contrica Emory of Orlando, FL; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Copeland of Sumter, SC; special sister, Jessie M(Willie) Myers of Mayesville, SC; brothers, Otis Linton of Las Vegas, NV, Antonio(Shakayla)Durant Roach, Anthony(Angel)Durant Roach; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Public visitation for John Albert Durant, Jr. will take place on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
