Mr. Secoyah Brand, Jr. made his transition from this life on June 4, 2022. He was born on April 7, 1969, a son of Secoyah Brand, Sr. and Maxine Brand. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dionne Browden Brand, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Affectionately called “Junebug” by family and friends, Secoyah attended the Guilford County Public Schools. He was employed in the manufacturing industry for many years as a mattress builder. He was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Secoyah enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and lovingly adored his grandchildren.

He is survived by his parents, Secoyah Brand, Sr. and Maxine Brand of High Point, NC; his children, Deanthony Leggett of Winston-Salem, NC, Secoyah Brand, III and Patrick Brand, both of High Point, NC; a stepdaughter, Tia Simone Ware; his grandchildren, Addyson Brand and Frankie Malik Bowden, both of High Point, NC; two sisters, Shepell Owens of High Point, NC, and Lisa Brand of Winston-Salem, NC; two nephews, Jamaal Marquail Brand and Rodney Owens, both of High Point, NC; a very special friend, Teresa Boyd Forest; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
