Obituary For Gracie Lee Vance

Gracie Lee Vance, 80, was born January 18, 1942 in Sumner, Mississippi to O.C. Morris and Georgia Martin. As a child, the family moved from Mississippi to Arkansas. Gracie attended Richard B. Harrison High School, and was a successful business owner. In 1970 Gracie married James Vance. She enjoyed gardening, working crossword puzzles, reading, and fishing. Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Curtis Morris, and a sister, Christine Jackson. She passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at her home. Gracie will be lovingly remembered by two sons, Michael Jackson (Jennifer Taylor-Williams) and Ronald Scott (Sherry Thompson); three daughters, Marsha Ann Scott, Cassandra Scott, and Demetria Vance all of Blytheville, Arkansas; one sister, Barbara Hunter of Cleveland, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild, and many other relatives and friends. Services of Remembrance will be conducted Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at God’s Holy Temple Church, 2065 South Division, Blytheville, Arkansas. Bishop Randy Crenshaw is the pastor and eulogist. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
