Obituary For Mary Ware

MS. MARY WARE – Age 87, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was born September 17, 1934 in Cedartown, Polk County, Georgia. She was member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Summerville, GA. She started her employment career working at the people’s laundry in downtown Summerville for many years before answering a call to train for free to work as a machine operator at a glove mill. She later was hired at Georgia Glove in Lyerly, GA where she worked for many years before switching to Besting Manufacturing in Menlo, GA where she was employed until her retirement 25 years ago in 1997. She loved to sing for the Lord with her group, Mary Ware & The Gospel Caravans, which she did for over 40 years. She also enjoyed sewing and playing grandchildren. She was preceded by her infant daughter, Emma Ware; parents, George and Edna Woods Ware, Sr; 6 sisters and 2 brothers, Inez Kirby, Ruby Smith, Marie Darden, Clara Fleetwood, Carrie Williams, Lillie Mae Ware, George Ware, Jr., and William Ware.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Joyce Ware Foster and Denita Ware both of Summerville, GA; grandchildren, Camesia “Shon” (Cory) Hayes, Summer Valejo, Brice Ware, and George Ware all of Summerville, GA; great grandchildren, Knico (Jasmine) Pickett, Brycelin Ware, Hevah Lester all of Summerville, Tatiana Horton of Jacksonville, AL, JaQuoye Ware of Rome, GA, and Bree Ware of LaFayette, GA, and Heaven Washington of Cedartown, GA; great great grandchildren, Faith, Hope, and Kashius Pickett all of Summerville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside Service will be Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 P. M. at Summerville Cemetery with Bishop V. T. Harden, Eulogist. Interment, Summerville Cemetery. Her remains will in state at the funeral home until the funeral hour. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
