Obituary For Mrs. Mozell Gaddy Pickett Sturdivant Willoughby

Mrs. Mozell Gaddy Pickett Sturdivant Willoughby was born on April 19, 1938 and went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Mozell Willoughby was born to the late Bradley Gaddy and Mollie Bright McCormick Gaddy in Anson County.

She attended Ingram School in Anson County. She completed the 10th grade.

She confessed Christ at an early age. She attended West Deep Creek Baptist Church in Wadesboro, NC. She also attended New Grove Baptist Church in Polkton, NC and later joined Greater St. Matthews (Empowering Word Ministries) in Wadesboro, NC where she was a dedicated and faithful Missionary until her health declined. She would do anything she could to help anyone that needed it.

Mrs. Mozell was employed at Roman Knit in Norwood, NC and Tuscarora Yarns in Oakboro, NC.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Calvin Pickett, William Charles Sturdivant and William Willoughby; four sons, Robert Edward Gaddy, Bobbie Connell, Danny Thomas Sturdivant and William Leon Sturdivant; two grandsons, Dexter Pickett and William Jamal Sturdivant; five brothers, Lester Gaddy, Hollie Gaddy, Charlie Gaddy, Joseph Gaddy and Vaxter Gaddy; and one sister, Lucille Gaddy.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Alberta Richardson of Cottonville, NC, Brenda Pickett of Albemarle, NC, Carolyn Hough (Sam) of Norwood, NC, William C. Sturdivant Jr. (Tammy) of the home, Ezon Sturdivant (Marva) of Ellerbe, NC, Patrice Sturdivant of the home, Charlie Sturdivant of Albemarle, NC, James Earl Sturdivant (Edna) of Albemarle, NC, Terrance Sturdivant (Joyce) of Badin, NC and Janet Huntley (Micheal) of Albemarle, NC; one daughter-in-law, Linda Sturdivant of High Point, NC; 36 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; four sisters, Elizabeth Hudson (James Robert) of Lilesville, NC, Rosemary Queenie Grier of Baltimore, Maryland, Burnette Tillman of Woodridge Assisted Living, Monroe, NC, and Betty Blakney (Bobbie) of Morven, NC; one brother, Lee Thomas Gaddy of Wadesboro, NC; ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, 2:00pm, Empowering Word Ministries, 1168 US-52, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be at Westview Memorial Park, Highway 74-West, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
