Obituary For Donnie L. Brant

" I fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is a laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." I Timothy 4: 7-8

Donnie L. Brant was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Willie Lee Brant and the late Annie Mae Williams Brant. He was raised in Brunson, South Carolina.

At an early age, he became a baptized member of Second Baptist church and he accepted Christ as his Savior.

Pee Dee as he was affectionately called, was employed as truck driver with Gold Star until his health began to decline.

Pee Dee was known for his jokes, laugh, being a comedian always, and the life of any party.

He resided in Savannah, Georgia for over 30 years.

Our love one has been taken, but God has gained another angel. On Friday Evening, June 10, 2022, Donnie transitioned from labor to reward. Peace come to us in knowing that he is not suffering with pain and hopelessness. As he enters his new life, he will be greeted with love from his wife: Nadine Brant, loving parents: Annie Mae Brant and Willie Lee Brant, Maternal Grandparents: George and Lucille Benton, Paternal Grandparents: Stanley Jr. and Louvenia Brant: Sister Tammy L. McClough.

Pee Dee will be truly missed by his loving and devoted nephew who was like a son: Standrell White, of the home, (8) Children: Montrell Loadholt, Allendale, SC; Nicole Bacon, Aiken, SC; Donnie Brant, Jr., Savannah, GA; Nathan Brant, Columbia, SC; Jamal Riley, Annie Riley, Donna Riley, Keisha Riley all of Pennsylvania; (3) Sisters: Louvenia Brant, Charlotte, NC; Mary Marks (Kenny Bowers), Columbia, SC; Tonya Brown, Atlanta, GA; (4) Brothers: Willie J. Brant, Jimmy Brant, both of Ridgeland, SC; Leon Brant, Charlotte, NC and Pepper (Phoebe) Brant, Pittsburg, PA; (2) aunts: Mildred (Lewis) Young, Bloomingdale, GA; Mary Major, Columbia, SC; (1) Special Friend: Cynthia Turner, Brunswick, GA; Special Niece: Tina Brant, Stewart, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.
