Obituary For Ms. Mamie Lee Teal

Mamie Lee Teal was born on May 9, 1949 in Anson County to Ollie Teal and the late William Lee Wall. She departed this earth to her heavenly home on June 13, 2022.

Mamie attended the public schools in both North Carolina and South Carolina. She worked in poultry until her health declined. She confessed Christ at an early age at Bessie Chapel AME Zion Church in Lilesville, NC where she was a member of the Usher Board.

Mamie enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a passion of caring for others. She enjoyed babysitting children of all ages.

Mamie was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Teal; her father, William Wall; her sister, Dianne Teal; brothers, James Teal, Arrik Teal and Leroy Wall; and her great grandson, Jamal Smith.

Mamie leaves to cherish her loving memories her mother, Ollie B. Teal of Wadesboro, NC; her daughters, Cynthia Teal of Wadesboro, NC and Carolyn Teal of the home. Her sons, Kenny Teal (Jenett) and Ronnie Teal (Mendy) both of Wadesboro, NC. Her sisters, Brenda Teal, Chery Teal and Catherine Burch (James) al of Wadesboro, NC, Alice Medley of Lilesville, NC and Lorraine Darby of Orangeburg, SC. Her brothers, Edward Wall (Gloria), William Wall (Linda) both of Lilesville, NC and Kenny Wall (Josephine) of Wadesboro, NC; her aunt, Raynett Teal of Baltimore, MD; 11 grandchildren, 3 that she raised as her own, Jasmine Cash, Mackenzie Teal and Kobe Teal all of Wadesboro, NC. Her 8 great grandchildren. Her sister-in-law, Georgia Ledbetter Teal. A host of other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, June 18, 2022, 4:30pm in the Chapel of Smith's Funeral Home, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in Westview Memorial Park, Highway 74-West, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

The public viewing will on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4:00-6:30pm at Smith's Funeral Home.
