Obituary For Ethel M Walker

Walker, Ms. Ethel M., A resident of Montgomery, AL departed this life on June 13, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 12:00 Noon from St. James Baptist Church (3424 S. Court St.) Pastor Lee B. Walker Sr., officiating, burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Walker will lie in state on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 1-8PM from Phillips-Riley Funeral Home.

NOTICE: Please be mindful that the State of Alabama and the CDC have advised that we limit gatherings and that individuals who are ill and or are at-risk ( e.g., elderly, immune-compromised) should be encouraged to stay home. Social Distancing Practices will be observed during the visitation and service.

To the Walker Family: We are sorry to hear about the recent passing of Ethel M Walker. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the family during this time of great sadness. May all grieving hearts please draw comfort from this loving promise from God where He assures all grieving hearts about the resurrection blessing that God will extend to His earthly family. This loving promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. From the reading of this verse God is giving us His personal guarantee that the restoring of life would surely take place. Really, the restoring of life is something that all can look forward to see taking place world wide. And to help all to develop strong faith in this future blessing, God has taken the time to preserve nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about this grand blessing soon to take place earth wide. Here is just one such example. It is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses apply to Ethel, and a great host of others who await their personal awakening from God. So, in closing we encourage all to please keep this promise near your hearts at all times. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie.(Titus 1:2)
