Dwight and I met as football officials and spend many a Saturday together. I always saw Dwight as a honorable and strong man. I will always remember his Sgt like demeanor but gentler side as well. I was shocked at his passing. Continued prayers for the family.

Our family has many memories of Butler. It has been very difficult for us to wrap our minds around his passing. To be absent from the body, is to be present with our Lord. I spoke with Butler over the phone one day. He was overjoyed to have a grandson. He expressed how his life would never be the same and he said his life had been forever changed because of his grandson. That was something we could all relate to. Toy, Aquila & Micah remain strong and be encouraged. Love, Rita and Gary & girls ❀️

Dwight LaMontΓ© Butler, go find my mom and you two hang out like we used to do. We have so many memories like you throwing allllll the letters I wrote you into the sea because there were just too many. Or my mom teaching you how to write your name in Japanese. We have talked and laughed and argued like best friends do. I appreciate every moment. My heart is broken but I find comfort in knowing you are in peace. Until we see each other again. Richele
