OPELOUSAS – A Private Celebration of Life will be held by family and friends for Mr. Jimmy Rigsby, affectionately known as “Jim”, 77, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at His Residence in Opelousas, LA.

Mr. Rigsby was a Sergeant in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. Mr. Ribsgy’s memories are being cherished by: his three daughters, Joy LaVonne Anderson (Jeffrey Aune) of Carbett, OR, JoAnna Lynn Wood of Rayne, LA, and Julie LaVerne Miles (Calvin Jones) of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Patsy Crossno, Melinda Fernau, Brenda Stevenson, and Kathy Carrisee all of Phoenix, AZ; a special companion, Donna Thomsen of Durant, OK; 8 grand children; 47 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Avis Walker Rigsby; one brother, Billy Joe Rigsby; four sisters, Bobby Griffin, Betty Davis, Peggy Wattinger, and Jamie Rigsby; and one grandson, Barry Risby.
