Tommy Lee Thompkins, Jr. (Jr., T – Real) was born October 3, 1994 to Negretta Sharper and Tommie Lee Thompkins, Sr. in Thomasville, Georgia. He departed this life at his residence on June 10, 2022 surrounded by family who loved him dearly.
Tommie was educated in the Brooks county School system. He was a member of the Brooks County Trojans Marching Band. He was a member of the percussion section. He graduated from Brooks County High School, Class of 2014. After school, he worked in landscaping.
Tommie attended Union Baptist Church. He had a heart of Gold. He would give you the shirt off of his back. To know him was to love him and he was such a joy to know.
Tommie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Anna Thompkins, Sr.; maternal grandfathers Bishop Willie Boatman, Sr. and Mr. Sonny Brown; and maternal great grandmothers Mrs. Inez Peak.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving and devoted mother Negretta Sharper (Ellis); a loving and devoted father and stepmother Tommie Thompkins, Sr. (Latesha); one loving sister Keianna Thompkins (Elexus Jackson); a loving and devoted friend/brother JuJuan Knight (Shanerica); loving grandmothers Ethel Brown, Quitman, GA, Rev. Florence Boatman, Madison, FL; aunts Nellie Thompkins, Virginia Beach, VA, Bobbie Brown (Rev. Edward), Quitman, GA, Sylvia McIntyre (Henry Spencer), Morven, GA, Yuwanda Newsome, Atlanta, GA, Carol Griffin (Solomon), Pinetta, FL; uncles Robert Thompkins, Jr. (Daisy), Quitman, GA, Willie Thompkins (Vickie), Rochelle, GA, Rev. Delvin Boatman (Marie), Rev. Willie Boatman (Sabrina), Keith Edwards all of Madison, FL, Rev. Craig Boatman (Cynthia), Augusta, GA, Terrance Boatman, Jacksonville, FL, Ricky Newsome (Joyce), Stacy Newsome, Sarasota, FL; his special friends Wayne Silas, Jr., Denzel Spencer and Brandon Moss; he also leaves behind a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and sorrowful friends in which his memory and spirit will live on forever.
Visitation will be Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 2PM-7PM. A celebration of life will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 3PM on the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Lawn with Rev.
