Obituary For Rosemary Lockhart

Rosemary Lockhart of Vero Beach, FL passed away on June, 9, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic Martin Memorial South. Born in Vero Beach, Fl on February 15, 1964 to Ida Mae Green Lockhart and Shug Lockhart, Rosemary grew up in Indian River County and attended Wabasso School where she graduated in 1983.

Rosemary enjoyed softball, ice skating, bowling, track and field, fishing, listening to music and going to church. She was a member of New Jerusalem In It’s Power Holiness Church in Miami and Alpha and Omega Christian Ministries in Vero Beach. She was actively involved with Special Olympics where she won several Awards.

On June 9, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic Martin south in Stuart, Rosemary closed her eyes in eternal slumber and peaceful rest. She was preceded in death by her parents Shug and Ida Mae Green Lockhart, Sister, Alice Lockhart, Brothers, David, Ray, and Willie Lockhart and Nephew John Henry Lockhart, Jr.

Rosemary Lockhart left behind to cherish her fond memories are her Brothers, Bishop Willie A (Ruby) Lockhart and Abe Lockhart, both of Vero Beach. Johnnie Lee (Barbara) of Alma, Ga. John Henry Lockhart and Elijah (Heather) Lockhart both of Vero Beach, Sister, Gloria J. Lockhart of Vero Beach; and a host of other family members, including aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and sorrowing friends.

Public visitation for Rosemary will take place on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach, FL beginning at 4:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Gifford Cemetery.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as well.
