Obituary For Wardell Heggie

Wardell Heggie, 77 of Fuquay-Varina, NC passed on June 18, 2022 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He leaves to cherish his daughter; Carolyn Heggie of Fuquay-Varina, NC; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Horace Heggie (Gertha) of Knightdale and Calvin Heggie of Fuquay-Varina, NC; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Heggie of Holly Springs, one brother-in-law; Bobby Lawrence of Waldorf, MD, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation: 2:00 - 4:00 pm Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral will be held 11:30 am Monday, June 27, 2022 at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church, 605 Bridge Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Burial: Starlight Memorial Gardens in Holly Springs, NC 27540.

Masks are required in order to attend the visitation and or funeral service.

I met Mr. Wardell 2 years ago. We enjoyed many conversations about life, family,fatherhood and the Bible. I will cherish those moments forever. I'm a better man having known him. He will be missed. My only regret is that we didn't meet sooner.
