Obituary For Mr. William A. Murray III

FARRELL A homegoing celebration in honor of William A. “Flip” Murray III will be held Saturday June 25, 2022 at 10am at Greater Mt. Zion COGIC, 1825 Roemer Blvd. in Farrell, Pa. Mr. Murray departed this life June 16, 2022. William Anthony “Flip” Murray, III was born on September 30, 1993, in Sharon, PA, to Terrica Lynn Gregory and William Anthony Murray, Jr. William graduated from Farrell Area High School in 2013. During his high school career, he was a standout basketball player and an avid LeBron James fan. “Flip” often spent his spare time with his son, Imari. He enjoyed playing basketball with his son, teaching him the game, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He had a very special bond with his siblings, cultivating a loving and personal relationship with them individually as well as collectively. William was employed by various home health agencies throughout the valley. He was very dependable and loved to assist all of the clients. “Flip” was a man of many gifts and talents. He loved working with his hands and mind. He had a heart of gold and was loved by many. Even during life struggles, he was never reluctant to help those in need. William leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Terrica L. Gregory; his father, William Anthony Murray, Jr.; his son, Imari Anthony Murray of Farrell, PA; his maternal grandmother, Crystal Lynn Gregory of Sharon, PA; his paternal grandfather, William A. Murray, Sr. of Sharon, PA; his maternal great grandmother, Laverne Ellerbe; his siblings, Whitney A. Murray of Hermitage, PA, Wandell A. Murray, Terrica L. Murray and Tayonna L. Murray all of Farrell, PA; his niece, Ja’Elle Goudy of Hermitage, PA; his godson, Zayden Hailstock; his special friends, Ramone Pierce, Marquette Coleman, Jonelle Goudy and Vernon Stewart, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. William was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Irene Gregory Cromartie; his maternal grandfather, Terry Gregory; and his paternal grandmother, Doris E. Lampkins Murray. The family will receive friends Saturday June 25, 2022 from 9am-10am at the church. Interment will be in Morefield Cemetery in Hermitage, PA.
