Obituary For Mohamed Bah

MOHAMED BAH, 31, transitioned in his sleep on Sunday, April 24, 2022 in New York. He was born in Pujehun District of Sierra Leone, the first born of Yawah Sanu. She met her husband, Mr. Minkailu Sanu, Sr. when Mohamed was about two years old. There was a strong father and son bond up to the day God took him home. Mohamed, commonly called “Medo Bouncing” received his formal education at St. Michael Primary School in Freetown from 1995 to 2002. After passing the selective Entrance Examination, he was admitted to the Methodist Boys High School in Freetown from 2002 to 2003. He later attended Bo School to complete the later part of his secondary education. Medo immigrated to America on February 15, 2015 and resided with his parents in Maryland. Later, he resided in New York until his death. Mohamed was a remarkable young man. He was full of life, vibrant, energetic, good spirited and also full of fun. He also was quiet, humble, kind, friendly and always ready to render help to other people. Mohamed shared good humor and a big smile with everyone he met. He is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and generosity. Mohamed is survived by his parents, Minkailu Sanu, Sr. and Yeawah Sanu; his brothers, Minkailu Sanu, Jr. and Mikhail Sanu; his aunts, Yvonne Hannah Williams, Jillo Koroma, Waata Koroma Mansaray, Sao Koroma, Baby Kadia Jalloh, Neneh Bah, Jariatu Bah, Salaimatu Bah, Binta Bah, Aminata Bangura, Ramatu and Isata Sanu; his uncles, Ibrahim Kamara, Surakata Koroma, Amadu Sanu, Makeh Koroma, Billoh Bah, Mamadu Bah, Ibrahim Bah and Sorie Bah; his grandmothera, Christiana Blake and Nanah Koroma; his grand uncles, Clement Biko Kpaka and Momodu Rogers; his grand aunts, Cecilia Sawba, Zoe Baby Kay Rogers, Kula Kpaka and Tenneh Rogers; his cousins, Sheikh Adul Quaadirr Tunis, Alusine Alimed Manny, Hannah Kamara and Christiana Kamara. Mohamed is survived by other family members and close friends including The Bangura Families from the U. S., UK, Germany and Sierra Leone; The Trye Family from New Jersey; The Arkhurst Family from Connecticut, The Sillah Family from Massachusetts, The Johns Family from Maryland; The Lowe’s Family from Maryland; The Bokossah Family from Maryland; The Massaquoi Family from Maryland; The Mansaray Family and The Tucker Family, both from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and The Mani Family from Maryland. His life was celebrated on Saturday, June 18 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, Pennsylvania with a Viewing and Visitation from 11:00 AM and burial in Paxtang Cemetery of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
