Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. EST, Friday, July 1, 2022 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Smiths Station, AL, Pastor Jeffery McCauley; Dr. Deborah Wilcox, officiating and Rev. Kenneth Wilson, eulogist. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City. Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 3-5 p.m. EST.
Tyren was born October 19, 1998 to Tommy Church and Niketia Dawkins Church in Columbus, GA. He was a 2017 graduate of Central High School and was currently serving active duty in the US Army.
Tyren had a smile that would light up any room. He had a heart of gold. To know him was to love him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lily A. Dawkins.
Survivors include his spouse, Kederick Renard Brooks, Jr.; parents, Tommy Church and Niketia Dawkins Church; two sisters, Tykembria Church and Dasyiah Matthews; paternal grandmother, Ovivian Church; paternal grandfather, Tommy Church, Sr.; "Papa" Larry Sanders and maternal grandfather, MC (Lisa) Person; mother-in-law, Katrina (Woodrow) Myles; father-in-law, Kederick Renard Brooks, Sr.; two sisters-in-law, Shantrell Mobley and Destinee Williams; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Francis and Reuben Boyd; eight aunts, Sanricka Dawkins, Tiffney Dawkins, Charnesha (Gabe) Mitchell, Tracy (Harold) Key, Stephanie (Marvin) Freeman, Latasha (Byron) Weeks, Alexis Person and Lawanda (Derrick) Maize; five uncles, Cedric Church, Derick (Jasmine) Church, Sterling Davis, Quentin (Brittney) Evans and Nicholas (Helen) Person; two nieces, Braleigh Pritchett and Caliah Martin; special cousin and friend, Shacara Tarver and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
