Obituary For Randall Cortez Anderson

( July 30, 1969 --- June13, 2022 ) The Celebration of Life honoring Randall C. Anderson, 52, of Frankston will be Saturday, June 25, 2022, 11:00AM at First Baptist Church Rusk with Pastor William Warren serving as eulogist. Interment will follow at Henry Cemetery, Gallatin, Texas under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.

Randall Cortez Anderson, affectionately known to family as “Cat Bone” and others as “Bone” was born July 30, 1969 in Athens, Texas to Lacy Lamar Anderson and Vera J. Warren Foster. He was raised in the “Sugar Mountain” community of Frankston, Texas.

Randall received his education through Poynor Independent School District, graduating with the Class of 1989. Upon graduating, Randall obtained his commercial driver’s license and drove for many years. He was recently employed with Goodwill Industries of East Texas until his health failed.

“Cat Bone” was a family man. He enjoyed family gatherings, family reunions, and merely being in the presence of his loved ones. He loved riding his motorcycle, spending time with his mother and sisters –he was the only boy!

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29, KJV

On the morning of Monday, June 13, 2022, in Tyler, Texas at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System, God dispatched angels to the beside of Randall Cortez Anderson. Adhering to the will of God, he transitioned from labor to reward. Awaiting his arrival are his son, Ke’Shawn Lamar Anderson and his step-father, Ray Foster; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts, and uncles—both maternal and paternal.

Precious memories will forever be cherished by his wife Rachel S. Anderson of Jacksonville, Texas; son, DeRandall Cortez (Christy) Anderson of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Rachel K. Anderson of Carthage, Texas; three granddaughters, Aubriee, Addilyn, and Audri’anna; grandson, Jaydin; embedded memories shall remain in the heart of his parents, Lacy L. Anderson and Vera J. Foster both of Frankston, Texas; his sisters, Louise Anderson of Frankston, Texas, Audra (Odell) Harmon of Palestine, Texas, Sabrina Rand and Rhonda Bryant both of Frankston, Texas, and Shurhonda Anderson of Rockwall, Texas; paternal aunt, Nancy Adams of Crockett, Texas; maternal aunts and uncles, Eula Mae Brown, Bennie R. (Matilda) Warren, Arthur Hurd all of Athens, Texas, Bertha (Bennett) Edwards of Murchison, Texas, and Ernest (Mahalia) Warren and Emma Williams both of Athens, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews; mother- in- law, Arneta Kennedy- Castleberry of Gallatin, Texas; sisters-in- law, Rebecca (Michael) Simmons of Houston, Texas, Christy (ShaKendrick) Tilley of Pearland, Texas, Shunna Castleberry of Tyler, Texas, and Toshunda Grant of Dallas, Texas.

Visitation will be Friday 2:00- 8:00PM at John R. Harmon Undertaking Co., 1112 N. Palace Ave., Tyler, TX 75702
