Obituary For George Collins, Jr.

George Collins, Jr. was born on March 16, 1955 to the late Madline Collins and George Collins, Sr. He was a man loved by his family and all that knew him. George matriculated through the public schools of Saint Lucie County and graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School. In his adult life, he worked in the asphalt industry for Dickerson. In his spare time, he enjoyed landscaping, going by the water, and attending family functions.

On June 12, 2022, George Collins, Jr. answered the Master’s call and peacefully departed this life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Madline Collins and George Collins, Sr., his wife Doretha Collins, and his son, RaJon Collins.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Nicole Reeves of Fort Pierce, FL and Kabrina Collins of Thomasville, Georgia; grandchildren, Zhane Reeves, Keldrick Thomas, Trevion Sanders, and Kadenn Collins; sister, Sarah Collins of Fort Pierce, Florida; brothers, Calvin Collins(Maria) and Claude Collins; aunt, Sarah Whitaker of Augusta, Georgia; nieces, Tysis Paige(Calvin), Ioliessia Johnson(Arvin), Jernica Heard(Thomas); nephew, Jarvis Collins; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Public visitation for George Collins, Jr. will take place on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Immanuel Full Gospel Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Riverview Memorial Park.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as well.
