Funeral Services for Ms. Mazie Dell Manning 68, of Unadilla GA will be Saturday July 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Chapel Baptist Church Unadilla, GA. Interment Old Camp Creek Cemetery, Unadilla GA.
Mazie Dell Manning was born on February 26, 1954, to the parentage of the late Joe Nathan Manning, Sr., and Mamie Ruth Duhart Manning. Mazie received her formal education in the Dooly County School system, earning her GED in 1991. She was a member of the Brown Chapel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Usher Board until her health began to decline. Mazie worked faithfully to support her children as a single mom. She was employed at the Unadilla Days Inn as a housekeeper for many years. Her employment also included the Georgia Industrial Garment, Vienna, GA; Visiting Nurses, Cordele, GA; Neff Sportswear, Unadilla, GA; and Tyson, Vienna, GA. Mazie loved cooking, talking on the phone, and spending time with family and friends. Mazie departed this life on June 23, 2022, at the Fairview Park Hospital, Dublin, GA. Mazie was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry, Grover, and Joe Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and caring daughter, Laronda Buckles of Unadilla, GA; two devoted sons, Stacy Manning, Sr., and Travis Manning, Sr., of Unadilla, GA; two granddaughters, Lytsashia Watkins and Kimora Buckles; seven grandsons, Rontavis (Keisha) Taylor, Arsenio Watkins, Alex McClendon, Travis Manning, Jr., Kelvion Jackson, Jamari Buckles, and Stacy Manning, Jr.; nine greatgrands; six sisters, Ruby Manning McDougald, Rosetta Benjamin, Betty Daniels, Connie Daniels, Rosa (Jarvis) Manning, and Regina Manning; four brothers, Peter Manning, Sr., Albert Manning, Eddie (Linda) Manning, and Willie (Carolyn) Rutledge; two nephews she helped raise, Demonds Jordan and Damian Manning, Sr.; a companion of many years, Tom Laws; two godsisters, Earnestine Taylor and Joann Washington; three godbrothers, Donald Martin, Gilbert McLeod, and Reginald Billingstea; four godchildren, Calvin King, Sylvia Sutton, Kentrella Lester, and Glodesha Lester; two devoted cousins, Gloria Lester and Rosa Lee Taylor; three devoted friends, Patricia Burke Johnson, Evelyn Lester, and Eura Billignstea; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
