Johnnie Ashley Teel Jr. of Havelock, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Viewing hours are 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday at the mortuary.

His funeral service is 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Piney Grove AME Zion Church, 1430 Temples Point Road, Havelock, NC. Interment to follow at the Piney Grove AME Zion Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Norris Teel of the home; daughters, Cassandra Teel and Catrina Teel Upshaw; three grandchildren; brothers, James Teel, Eric Teel, Ray Teel; sisters, Yvonne McCabe, Eloise Dove, Jo Ann Teel, Rosa Teel, Joy Teel.

Masks are required.
