Mrs. Rose Griffin Allen was born to the late Mr. Walt Griffin and Marie Griffin on November 21, 1943 in Quitman Georgia. She graduated from Washington Street High School in Quitman, Georgia. In 1989 she started driving buses for the Brooks County School System. When her bus driving days came to an end she decided to venture off and try something different giving Quitman Manufacturing and Ithaca a try. In 2001 she moved to Valdosta, Georgia where she became the assistant manager at Anthony’s Pizza located on Moody Airforce Base until she retired in 2010.

She lived a rewarding life devoted to GOD and Family until she was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her (husband) Johnny Allen., Sr.; (Brothers) McKinley Griffin, Walter Griffin; (Sister) Barbara Reddick and Grandson Damon McIntyre.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Stephanie Allen Edwards, Johnny Allen Jr. (Tameeka), Keith Allen (Contina), Tameka Allen Howell (Cornelius), David Allen, Sr. and Troy Larkins (Tesha), All of Valdosta, Georgia; Francis Mitchell (Sister, Valdosta, GA) and Dale Washington (God Daughter, Quitman, GA); 13 Grandkids: Raymond McIntyre (Kierra), Schae Mcintyre, Chelsey Allen, Cortez Wells, Malik Mordan, Co’Miya Scott, David Allen, Jr., Jakeith Allen, Tristian Allen, CJ Howell “Sweet Pea”, Jynesis Baker, Ashley Allen and Chayce Allen; 7 Great Grand Kids: Zimeria McIntyre, Caedyn McIntyre, Zayden Hill, Braxton Madison, Mason McIntyre ,S ev’yn Wells, Sav’yn Wells and Jar’Sire Wells; A very special nephew, Levvy Allen (Stacy), Thanks for all the hats; Special friends: Carolyn Howell and the Howell Family, Mary Robinson, Ester Miley and Tony McKinney just to name a few.

Wake Service: Friday, July 1, 2022 from 6:30-7:30 PM in the BTW Funeral Service Chapel.

Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Rose G. Allen will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel, Quitman, GA. Burial: Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
